This coat of arms originated in 1919 at Ukrainian Insurgency Army. It was mostly for practical reasons - as it was easy to cut from a cloth over a regual trident with complex geometry.

Today it's used in different colors — depending on the branch of the army — are now worn on the sleeves of all servicemen of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

A Length

Begin at the collar on the top (high point shoulder) and draw the measuring tape down to the garment's bottom.

B Width

Start the measurement at the seam right below one sleeve and extend the tape across to the seam underneath the opposite sleeve.

C Sleeve length

Position the tape at the top of the set-in sleeve and extend it down to the sleeve's hem.
